GARMENT COLLECTING AT LINDEX
In October, Lindex launching Garment Collecting initiative in Lithuania that will work to prevent customers unwanted clothes and textiles from going to landfill.
One of Lindex sustainability goals is to prolong the lifetime of their products and use resources in the smartest way possible throughout their operations.
Our long-term sustainability ambition is to minimise the environmental impact in all parts of our design and production chain, and to create a positive impact together with our suppliers, partners and customers. One of our goals: by 2025, 100 per cent of Lindex materials will be recycled or sustainably sourced.
• To meet the challenges of the future, we need to become more resource efficient, and reuse and recycling of textiles is one of many ways to fulfil our goals towards a sustainable future.
• Lindex collaborates with several organisations to contribute to increased reuse and recycling of textiles.
• At present, we collect textiles in all Lindex stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland and since October 2019 we will offer textile collection in all Lindex stores in Lithuania.
Lindex will accept all kind of textiles regardless where they come from. The textile doesn´t need to be whole, but they must be dry and clean and sealed in a plastic bag. The customer may submit as many textiles as they wish and will receive one discount voucher per bag hand-in in Lindex stores.
