KAUNAS AKROPOLIS

The Kaunas AKROPOLIS was finished and opened in 2007 and is located in a 4-storey building with the gross area of over 80.000 m2 that is located in the city centre. The property features 253 operators – retailers, restaurants and cafés, entertainment providers. The tenant mix includes MAXIMA XXX, Zara, Apranga, New Yorker, Sportland, Elektromarkt, Mexx, Esprit and S.Oliver brands. The shopping centre also comes with an ice skating arena surrounded by a food court, a bowling alley and a cinema.
The Kaunas AKROPOLIS is located close to a lot of business and public landmarks right in the middle of Mindaugas Boulevard – the city’s main street. It is a 500 metres away from the pedestrian lane – Laisvės Avenue, and development of a variety of large-scale projects is underway in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Over the past 12 months, the Kaunas shopping and entertainment centre AKROPOLIS had 13,8 million visitors and its operators reported sales of 154 million EUR (VAT included).
In September of 2008, the stock of the company that manages the buildings of the Kaunas AKROPOLIS was acquired by the German company Deka Immobilien GmbH that represents the real estate fund WestInvest InterSelect.
